Former Milwaukee Brewers third baseman Luis Urias is on the move again. He was dealt by the Brew Crew in the summer for Boston Red Sox pitching prospect Bradley Blalock. Boston has now shipped him to the west coast in which he will now be a member of the Seattle Mariners organization.
Ex Milwaukee Brewers third baseman Luis Urias has been traded by the Boston Red Sox to the Seattle Mariners.
Luis Urias, who still has two more years of arbitration years remaining, has had several up and down seasons. He broke out with the Brewers in 2021, but had a down year in 2022 and a hamstring injury sustained on opening day in 2023 put him behind the eight ball. Milwaukee ended up having other infielders step up and they ultimately traded him to Boston.
Over 32 games with the Red Sox Luis Urias didn’t get much going at the plate. Aside from making headlines for a pair of grand slams he ultimately posted an OPS of .698 and collected just 13 total runs batted in. After this short stint on the east coast Boston elected to trade him and received right-handed pitcher Isaiah Campbell in return.
Isaiah Campbell, a former second round pick by the Seattle Mariners, made his MLB debut in 2023. He tossed just shy of 30 innings and had a 2.83 ERA. With the Red Sox he should figure into their bullpen whereas Luis Urias figures to split time with other Mariners infielders Josh Rojas and Dylan Moore.

You wouldn’t say ‘in which’ after ‘west coast’.
You would say ‘where’ because the west coast is a place (in which you can’t simply put things).
Awful. That’s like 7th grade grammar.
Oh, and it also wasn’t aside from the two grand slams that he posted .698 OPS and 13 RBIs.
Those HRs were absolutely PART of the .698 figure and the 13 RBIs. If you were going to say ‘aside from’ those HRs, you would need to have substracted 8 RBIs AND recalculated his OPS to remove those two ABs.
Funny how college grads ARE dumber than 5th graders these days.
