The Milwaukee Brewers dealt infielder Luis Urias to the Boston Red Sox right before the 2023 trade deadline and received minor league pitcher Bradley Blalock in return. In Boston Luis Urias has been having a “grand” time for he has hit grand slams in back-to-back games played.

Luis Urias, who was acquired by the Boston Red Sox from the Milwaukee Brewers, is having a grand time with his new team.
Grand slams in consecutive games played is very rare. The last Red Sox player to do it was Jamie Fox in 1940. Taking it a step further, he is the only Boston player to ever hit two grand slams on consecutive pitches faced.
Luis Urías is the first Red Sox player to hit a grand slam in back-to-back games played since Jimmie Foxx in 1940.
He’s the first Red Sox No. 9 hitter to hit a grand slam against the Yankees since Luis Rivera hit one vs Jeff Robinson on Aug. 31, 1990. pic.twitter.com/6aamzn4Roi— ESPN Stats & Info (@ESPNStatsInfo) August 19, 2023
Luis Urías is the only Red Sox player ever to hit a grand slam on consecutive pitches faced.
He joined Bill Mueller as the only Red Sox ever to hit a grand slam in consecutive plate appearances. (Mueller did so on 7/29/2003 at TEX, in the 7th and 8th innings.)

It has been a good start with a new team for Luis Urias. Through 10 games with the Red Sox he has a .258/.343/.484 slash line with two home runs (grand slams) and nine runs batted in.
