The Milwaukee Brewers nine game road trip has been filled with sweeps so far. They started things off on the right foot by sweeping the Chicago White Sox at Guaranteed Rate Field, but then lost all three games against the Los Angeles Dodgers at Dodgers Stadium.
In LA the Brewers offense failed to score more than two runs in a game and were limited to games of two hits, three hits, and five hits. This marked the fourth time this season that Milwaukee has had a three game span of scoring three or fewer runs. Prior to the 2023 season that had happened four total times since 2016.
There were some elements of bad luck that doomed the Brewers against the Dodgers. They hit a lot of baseball right on the screws that ended up finding gloves, a pair of catchers interference calls occurred during the second game, some uncharacteristic plays were made including errors from Andruw Monasterio and Joey Wiemer, and Austin Barnes first home run of the season came off of Corbin Burnes and was the difference in a 1-0 ball game.
After a frustrating series for the Milwaukee Brewers against the Los Angeles Dodgers, they travel to Texas to take on the Rangers next.

The Brewers schedule does not ease up going forward. Up next is a three game series against the first place Texas Rangers. Southpaw Andrew Heaney will match up against Brandon Woodruff for the first game. In game two Dane Dunning, who has a 3.10 ERA and 1.14 WHIP this season, will take on Freddy Peralta. Lastly Sunday’s finale will feature Max Scherzer and Adrian Houser on the mound.
After the Rangers series Milwaukee has games against more potential playoff teams in the Minnesota Twins, San Diego Padres, Chicago Cubs, and Philadelphia Phillies.
