Milwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Freddy Peralta has continued to dominate on the mound and that was evident once again on Friday night against the Philadelphia Phillies. Over his last seven starts he has pitched 42 innings, has a 1.71 ERA, and has struck out 69 batters. His 69 strikeouts sets a new franchise record for the most amount of punch outs over a seven game span.

Freddy Peralta fans 10 Philadelphia Phillies and sets a Milwaukee Brewers strikeout record previously held by Corbin Burnes.
In 2021 eventual Cy Young award winner Corbin Burnes struck out 68 batters over a stretch of seven games. During this same amount of time Freddy Peralta has fanned 69 batters while also lowering his ERA from 4.72 to 3.85. His 69 strikeouts gives him sole possession of the franchise record for the most amount of strikeouts in seven games.
Outside of these last seven starts Freddy Peralta has managed to accumulate at least five strikeouts in his last 15 games. Additionally he now has six double digit strikeout games this season. It appears as if he is peaking at the right time and hopefully he can continue to keep the momentum that he has on the pitching mound going.
His next start is scheduled for Wednesday, September 6 against the Pittsburgh Pirates in which over two starts against them this year he has 17 strikeouts.
