Milwaukee Brewers baseball is in the thick of their season. As we begin the summer months, these next three months will be full of Brewers games. As that is going on, the teams in Milwaukee’s farm system are in the middle of their seasons as well. The goal for all these players are to one day walk on the field of American Family Field. Here is a look at the four minor league teams and players who are standing out.
Single A: Carolina Mudcats
As of today, the Carolina Mudcats own a record of 30-27. They are in second place in the North division of the Carolina League.
A few players standing out are pitchers Jeison Pena, Nate Peterson, Shane Smith, and Tyler Wehrle who all have four wins. Peterson leads the team with 46 strikeouts. Luke Adams leads the team with seven home runs and Luke Lara owns a .302 batting average.
High A: Wisconsin Timber Rattlers
The Timber Rattlers have had a few bad losing streaks this season. As a result, they are sitting sixth in the Midwest League West Division with a record of 23-34.
Tyler Woessner leads the club with five wins on the mound. He also has 54 strikeouts in just over 58 innings pitched. Robert Moore, Joe Gray, and Alex Hall all lead the team with five home runs. Moore leads the team with 27 RBI’s while Matt Ward owns a .302 batting average.
Double A: Biloxi Shuckers

Biloxi has consistently had a good team over the last handful of years. Currently, they are 30-28 and sit in second place in the Southern League South Division.
The Shuckers have some of the best Brewers prospects on their roster. It’s led by the best prospect in baseball in Jackson Chourio. Chourio and Jeferson Quero lead the team with nine home runs. Chourio also has 40 RBI’s and is batting .264. Top prospect Tyler Black already has 35 stolen bases.
Justin Jarvis leads the club with six wins and owns a 2.52 ERA in just over 64 innings pitched. Abner Uribe already has 28 strikeouts in 15 innings pitched.
Triple A: Nashville Sounds
The Sounds are sitting with a 33-31 record. That is good for fifth in the International League West Division.
Robert Gasser, the centerpiece of the Josh Hader trade last season, is having a good season with a 5-1 record and 72 strikeouts in 62 innings pitched.
Keston Hiura leads the team with 12 home runs and 33 RBI’s. He also owns a .331 batting average. There’s been a laundry list of players in Nashville that have also played for the big league team.
