National League Central opponents in the Milwaukee Brewers and Cincinnati Reds are currently duking it out for sole possession of the division lead. These two teams are no strangers to one another and oftentimes play some wild and closely contested ball games.
One element that has been present for the Brewers over the past 33 games is the ability to collect extra-base hits. This may sound surprising but currently Milwaukee’s longest active streak of collecting at least two extra-base hits in each game is against the Cincinnati Reds. The next longest streak is 30 games which was set in 1982-85 against the Minnesota Twins.

The Milwaukee Brewers have collected at least two extra-base hits in 33 straight games against the Cincinnati Reds.
This streak began in 2021 and is still active. Both American Family Field and Great American Ball Park are friendly to hitters in the dog days of summer, but a streak this long is quite impressive. A streak like this requires contributions from several players, but it also shows that Milwaukee is comfortable hitting against Cincinnati pitching and that they have a great game plan against them.
On Saturday, July 15 Milwaukee will look to keep this streak alive. The Brewers and Reds match up five more times in July and then do not play any more regular season games against one another.
