On Thursday May 25, 2023 the Milwaukee Brewers welcomed MLB commissioner Rob Manfred to American Family Field. Prior to his arrival a report surfaced that the team received a serious warning regarding upgrades that will need to be done to ensure that the stadium remains a MLB-caliber ballpark.
When Rob Manfred spoke on the issue he seemed confident that local and state governments will do what is needed to be done to American Family Field. The Brewers previously reported this year that the stadium was in need of $448 million worth of repairs. Unfortunately Tony Ever’s $290 million state tax surplus to dedicate to the project was turned down earlier this year.
Here is what some Milwaukee Brewers fan had to say in regards to Rob Manfred’s thoughts on American Family Field Needing upgrades.
Go look at the Tropicana, Comerica, Guaranteed Rate, Angel Stadium, Rogers Center, and more.
Quit this BS because the Brewers are a small market team. AmFam is more than MLB Quality.

I feel like they do renovations all the time. The restaurant inside the park, golf x, and the concession stands on the concourse. What else do you want?

Nostalgic? No
Clean and well maintained? Absolutely.
Milwaukee, although a small market team maintains a top 10-15 attendance rate..
Is this another way to try and force out small market teams?

American Family Field 9
Manfred is just saying this to spook the state/local governments into providing funds to help the Brewers continue renovating Am Fam Field.
