Since being optioned Abner Uribe has appeared in seven Triple-A games. He’s allowed just one earned run, struck out seven, and has also walked seven batters. Unfortunately news has now surfaced that he is on the injured list due to an injury.

Abner Uribe has a history of knee surgery.

One major reason why Abner Uribe jumped up to the big league scene rather quickly is because he was hampered by injuries early on in his Brewers career. A left knee meniscus injury ended up requiring surgery and cost him nearly the entire 2022 season. Back then his left knee meniscus was repaired and he was sidelined for 6-8 months as a result.
When will we know more regarding the nature of Abner Uribe’s right knee injury?

As reported by Adam McCalvy the MRI on Abner Uribe’s right knee is scheduled for Tuesday, June 11. Results and a plan going forward will hopefully be known by next week.
