Milwaukee Brewers flamethrower Abner Uribe was suspended by Major League Baseball for six games due to his involvement in a massive benches clearing brawl involving Jose Siri of the Tampa Bay Rays. Uribe appealed the decision, but was optioned to the minor leagues the day after the incident. A decision has reportedly been made regarding many games he will be suspended for.
After being optioned down to the minor leagues Abner Uribe had to serve a MiLB suspension.
In July of 2023 Abner Uribe was involved in a benches clearing incident in the minor leagues. The dispute started between Cleveland Guardians prospect George Valera and Nashville Sounds catcher Alex Jackson but Uribe was handed a suspension after all had cleared. A few days after the suspension he was promoted to the big leagues for the first time in his career and ended up having to serve this MiLB suspension after being demoted in April of 2024.

Milwaukee Brewers manager Pat Murphy believes that Abner Uribe had his suspension reduced to four games.
Todd Rosiak, reporter for the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, indicated that Abner Uribe has had his suspension reduced to four games. His source was manager Pat Murphy. No official announcement from MLB has been made regarding this.
Pat Murphy says it’s his understanding Abner Uribe’s suspension has been reduced from six to four games.
Now the Brewers need to figure out when it makes sense to bring him back and they can withstand being a man short in the bullpen for that span.

When will Abner Uribe be called back up to the big leagues?
Since being demoted Abner Uribe has put up some good numbers in Triple-A. He has appeared in six games, tossed 7.1 innings, allowed just one earned run, and struck out seven. The biggest caveat to this is that he has walked six batters as well. Aside from maturity one big reason for his demotion was the inability to throw strikes.
As mentioned by Rosiak the Brewers will have to pick a time that makes sense to be down a man in the bullpen when calling Uribe back up. They have off days three out of four Thursdays in June. Otherwise mixing him in before and after the All-Star break in July could be a viable option as well.
