Green Bay Packers QB Jordan Love is expected to play Sunday against the Vikings according to Ian Rapport. Love missed the past two games after spraining his left MCL late in the Week 1 loss to the Eagles. Malik Willis started in his place for victories over the Colts and Titans.
Love injured his knee in the waning seconds of the season opener against the Philadelphia Eagles, which was the NFL’s first game in Brazil. In the loss, Love passed for 260 yards with two touchdowns and one interception.
Although many supporters would argue that it is too soon for Jordan Love to return when they are winning with Malik Willis, Packers fans understand that they will need to throw the ball in a lot of third-down situations against the Vikings, who appear to have one of the finest defenses in the league. Green Bay fans will be excited and concerned about Jordan Love’s health as he plays.
Jordan Love feels confident about how he is moving heading into the matchup against the Vikings
Tim Capurso published a piece that talked about Jordan Love’s mobility during practice as the Packers face off against the Vikings on Sunday:
“Yeah, definitely,” Love said when asked by reporters earlier this week if his mobility had improved. “I feel like I’m getting better every day, moving around, getting out there practicing and feeling better.”
The Packers undoubtedly need Love, who signed a four-year, $220 million contract extension with Green Bay in July, to be as close to 100 percent as possible when the 3-0 Vikings visit town for a crucial divisional duel early in the season.
Love has been a limited participant in practice over the last several days, but with a divisional game coming up, he will most likely play if he is healthy. The Vikings have just finished facing Brock Purdy and C.J. Stroud in the last two weeks, and Brian Flores understands how to prepare for the NFL’s best quarterbacks.
