The Milwaukee Brewers issued a statement on Friday regarding the death of one of their former prospects who allegedly died of a heart attack at just 24 years old. According to reports Aaron Familia passed while trying to enter the United States from Mexico at the southern border.

Milwaukee Brewers issue a statement regarding the death of former prospect Aaron Familia.
A Brewers representative provided the following statement surrounding his unexpected death. “We are saddened to hear of the passing of Aaron. Our condolences go out to his family and friends during this difficult time.”
Aaron Familia last played in the Brewers minor league system in 2019 and was released in May of 2020. According to his MiLB page he signed in 2015 and played four seasons of baseball in both the Dominican Summer League and Arizona Complex League.
