Wisconsin Football Potentially Nearing a Massive Commitment From Top ’25 DL Target

The Wisconsin football staff has been working diligently to land recruits in the 2025 class, and could be near a big commitment.

Kyler Garcia, a three-star defensive lineman from Tennessee, is reportedly stuck between Louisville and the Wisconsin football program. Garcia is likely nearing a commitment following his official visit to Madison this past weekend. Wisconsin is the newest team to involve themselves in the recruitment of Garcia, and just might land the recruit after a successful visit.

With another talented recruit nearly finishing his official visits, 2025 three-star defensive tackle Kyler Garcia is nearing a big commitment. Garcia, a Tennessee native, holds 15 major scholarship offers including offers from Georgia, Vanderbilt, and Memphis.

The defensive lineman booked official visits with Wisconsin, Louisville, Purdue, and Indiana for the month of June as his collegiate decision looms. Garcia still needs to visit Indiana this week before completing his visits, but recruiting analysts feel the recruit has already cut his list down. The Wisconsin football staff joined in on the recruitment of Garcia late, but appear to be in his final group of schools.

While the Wisconsin Badgers football program is the latest to join the recruitment of Garcia, they have made up tremendous ground. This time a month ago, Garcia had no intentions of meeting with Wisconsin or even taking an official visit. Now, the Badgers are in prime position to land a commitment from the recruit after his recent official visit.

Garcia had previously been tied to Purdue and Indiana heavily, but has since seemingly cut his list down to just Wisconsin and Louisville.

At this point in time, the question remaining is whether or not the lone visit for Garcia was enough to head to Madison. Garcia had been heavily recruited by Louisville, which means the Wisconsin football staff has plenty of ground they have needed to gain. The key aspect of the recruitment of Garcia everyone needs to remember is that the Badgers have only been in close contact for about two weeks.

Wisconsin is the newest team to recruit Garcia, but the Badgers just might be able to pull a commitment away from Louisville.
