Green Bay Packers legend LeRoy Butler, like so many football fans, was caught up in the College Football Playoff controversy this weekend. After undefeated Florida State was left out of the playoff and one-loss Alabama was put in. This led to a Sunday of debates between fans and analysts. Butler took to social media to weigh in.
To Blame the Reason why The Committee didn't choose @Seminoles to play in the CFP on "The starting QB getting hurt" is LAME!, now CFP STANDS FOR "CERTIFIED FRAUD PLAYOFFS" it's a Shame and @RSherman_25 is 100% CORRECT!

Green Bay Packers LeRoy Butler On The College Football Playoff
It is safe to say that Butler was not happy with the decision. It isn’t necessarily a surprise as Butler is an alumnus of Florida State and this was the team that got the short end of the stick. His best line in the social media post was “CFP STANDS FOR ‘CERTIFIED FRAUD PLAYOFFS.'” Butler went on to call the decision an absolute shame and called out the committee for keeping the Seminoles out of the playoff simply due to the quarterback being injured.
12 Team Playoff Solves This
The playoff expands to 12 teams next season so the issue will solve itself and shouldn’t happen in future years. This discourse shows why the NFL is king. Every regular season game matters. I understand that the college game and the NFL game are structured differently. There are 32 teams in the NFL and in college, you are dealing with over 100 programs. However, in the NFL the regular season wins and losses matter. You don’t win in the regular season? You don’t go to the playoffs. There will never be this type of controversy in the NFL because the postseason is decided by the play on the field.
The College Football Playoff took over the sports world during the week 13 slate of NFL games. LeRoy Butler, along with many former Seminoles, voiced his displeasure with good reason.
