Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Keenan Allen missed practice on Wednesday and there was concern that he would miss the game on Sunday against the Green Bay Packers. However, on Thursday he received much better news on his status heading into Sunday’s contest against Green Bay.
He was limited in practice but told Kris Rhim of ESPN that he is expecting to play on Sunday despite an AC Joint Sprain in the shoulder. This will be an interesting situation to keep an eye on for the Green Bay Packers, especially if it is a lingering issue for him.

Allen is one of the most talented wide receivers in the NFL. On the season, he has caught 73 passes for 895 yards receiving and six touchdowns. Keenan Allen is averaging 12.3 yards per reception this season.
He had a huge game last week and caught 11 passes for 175 yards receiving and two touchdowns. Allen had 15.9 yards per reception against the Detroit Lions, despite the Chargers losing 41-38 last week at home.
Green Bay Packers Cornerback Jaire Alexander Was Back at Practice on Thursday and if Available On Sunday, Expect Him to Guard Keenan Allen

One of the good things for this weekend for the Packers is that Alexander returned to practice on Thursday. Friday will be a big day for him in terms of his availability for this weekend. If he is a good go, expect him to guard Keenan Allen for almost the entire game.
Alexander has only suited up in five of the nine Green Bay Packers games this season. Despite the injury for Allen, he is still going to be a headache to deal with in the passing game. If Jaire Alexander is ruled out this weekend, rookie Corey Valentine will probably start in his place again and it will be a tall ask of him to guard him.

In reality, it may not matter who is guarding him. The Packers know he is going to get the ball from quarterback Justin Herbert and they may not be able to stop Allen.
