The Green Bay Packers are preparing for their Week 11 matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers. The Packers (3-6) are looking for as many positives to take away from this season as their playoff hopes are on serious life support. The Chargers (4-5) still have a lot to play for as they find themselves right in the mix of things for an AFC Wild Card spot.
However, some pretty exciting news surfaced out of Green Bay on Thursday. One legendary Packers player will return to Green Bay for good.
Green Bay Packers Legend Bryan Bulaga Announces He Will Return To Team And Retire As A Member Of The Packers
Former Packers tackle Bryan Bulaga, who spent 10 seasons with the team from 2010 to 2019, has decided to retire with the team. Brian Gutekunst, Packers general manager, announced the news on Thursday, Nov. 16:
“We want to send our congratulations to Bryan on a wonderful career and thank him for his contributions to the Packers,” said Gutekunst. “He was not only one of the premier right tackles in the National Football League, he was also a tremendous teammate who was key to the success of many teams. We wish him, his wife, Abbie, and their family all the best in the years ahead.”
Bryan Bulaga Was Instrumental To The Packers
During his rookie season, Bulaga started 12 games and earned All-Rookie honors from the Professional Football Writers of America. In addition, he started all four postseason games that season, including the Super Bowl XLV victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers.
