Packer’s Second Round rookie Josh Myers was placed on Injured Reserve this afternoon. This comes after Myers injured his knee in the fourth quarter of the Packers win versus the Bears.
The Packers selected Myers in the second round of this year’s 2021 NFL draft. Corey Linsley left in free agency this offseason, so Myers was taken to fill that void.
Myers was the starting center five out of the first six games. He has been part of a young offensive line that has yet to allow more than three-sack in a game for Aaron Rodgers.
#Packers place C/G Josh Myers on injured reserve & elevate G Ben Braden to the active roster for gameday.

With injuries early on to Elgton Jenkins and David Baktiari still recovering from a torn ACL, Myers had to step up. He led a young offensive line to five straight wins.
Elgton Jenkins return last week, so the Packers projected offensive line for tomorrow against Washington is: Jenkins-Runyan-Patrick-Newman-Turner with Josh Myers placed on Injured Reserve for the time being.
Josh Myers will be able to return against the Seahawks in week 10. With Baktiari possibly returning Week 8 versus the Cardinals, the health of the O-Line might be back by then.
