In a drama filled offseason, the Packers lost two key defensive players to one of their biggest rivals. The Minnesota Vikings signed former Packers’ Za’Darius Smith and Chandon Sullivan to multi year deals. Both players were expecting big contracts from the Packers, but that never came to be. This isn’t the first time a former Packer has joined the Vikings (sometime out of spite). It’s actually a common occurrence in the 21st century. Here are just some of the players who have made the trip past the Mississippi river to play for the Purple and Yellow. Honorable Mentions: Brandon Bostick,…

The game wasn’t necessarily pretty, but the Packers are still moving on to the playoffs with a bye. After a Packers 37-30 loss against the Lions, the Packers finish with a 13-4 record. Now we get to take a week off and reflect on a great season. This game saw the Packers starters leaving after only one half. Green Bay has done it yet again. On top of winning the NFC North, the Packers once again have the bye in the NFL playoffs. The Packers did it while knocking the Minnesota Vikings out of the playoffs on Sunday Night Football.  While the Vikings were without Kirk Cousins, the Packers still had a dominant game on both sides of the ball. With the number one seed cliched, this will probably be the last time we see Rodgers until the Playoffs. With that, let’s look at the three things we learned from the Packer’s 37-10 win over the Vikings.  Having…

The offense was at the top of its game, and the defense played an almost perfect game against the 6th best offense in the NFL. For 12 years, Matthew Stafford had to suffer in the football purgatory that is Detroit. Green Bay Packer fans had to see Stafford twice a year, where he wasn’t horrible. He went 8-16 against the Pack, and considering Detroit never had an elite team is impressive. Now he has a new home in Los Angeles, where the Rams are competing for a title. But once again, the Green and Gold are in his way. This game has massive playoff implications, with both teams having three losses on the year. Whoever wins this game has the tiebreaker, where both the Rams…

Three years ago, Mark Murphy introduced Matt LaFleur as head coach of the Green Bay Packers. While Super Bowl aspirations are expected every year, he was given three goals each season: Beat the Bears, Beat the Lions, Beat the Vikings. Midway through his third season, he is 14-1 versus the NFC North. The only loss game came last year against the Vikings at Lambeau. Today, the Packers looked to take revenge on the Vikings, who thought during the offseason the North was theirs. How sorely were they mistaken. 1st Quarter Rule number one when playing the Packers: if you win…

Both quarterbacks are 4-0 at home against each other. Some of these games include the Fail Mary (an asterisk loss for the Packers), the 2014 NFC Championship match-up (we don’t talk about that game), and the 2019 Divisional Round…
