A Jets wide receiver wouldn’t mind Aaron Rodgers
A New York Jets wide receiver is doing some recruiting of his own Thursday following Davante Adams’ social media campaign. Adams has been posting content on Instagram and Twitter the past few days about Aaron Rodgers joining him in Las Vegas with the Raiders. But another AFC team on the East Coast really wants Rodgers.
Garrett Wilson posted a screenshot on his Instagram that shows what the Jets wide receiver is thinking. The picture has Rodgers in a green and white uniform on top of a slot machine game.
He posted “issa sign” on the Instagram picture.
Will the recruiting efforts help?
One thing is sure about that picture; it is a sign that Rodgers is on. However, that will have no impact on Rodgers’ plans. Neither will Adams’ posts. The Raiders don’t seem interested in using their limited resources on an aging quarterback coming off a lousy season. They’re just one of many teams with players and fanbases that might want Rodgers, but a trade isn’t feasible.
The Jets do have a better chance of landing Rodgers. They have a team that will have championship potential next season. The Jets also hired a big-time Rodgers connection in offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett. But ultimately, where Rodgers goes is a discussion between the Packers and Rodgers. But these social media posts are entertaining until that cold business decision by Rodgers and the Packers becomes public.
