A Chicago Bears star defender sent the Green Bay Packers a message about their upcoming matchup on Week 18. The Packers have a Wild Card spot on the line when the Bears travel to Green Bay next Sunday. The Bears have nothing to play for after the Packers eliminated them by winning Sunday night.
The suddenly hot Bears, who have won four of their five games, are motivated to play the role of spoiler against the Packers. Bears fans, like usual, are talking trash before the Week 18 contest.
A Chicago Bears CB sends the Packers a message
A Bears defender decided to add some fuel to the fire after Chicago’s win over the Atlanta Falcons in Week 17. According to Jason Lieser with the Chicago Sun-Times, cornerback Jaylon Johnson said the Bears have been looking forward to this game since losing to the Packers in Week 1 in Chicago.
“We’re on their ass for sure,” Johnson said.
Bears CB Jaylon Johnson has been waiting for Week 18 at Lambeau Field all season after losing to the Packers in the opener: “We’re on their ass for sure.”

The Bears have a history of talking trash to the Packers
The Bears have a sorry recent history of sending messages to the Packers. Defensive end Trevis Gipson promised a win over the Packers last season. Per WSH Media files, defensive tackle Justin Jones called Packers fans obnoxious before this season and said the Bears were going to steal the rivalry back in Chicago’s favor:
“I wish [Rodgers] played one more year, with Green Bay, honestly. We went up there and played a pretty good game. They got away from us at the end, obviously, and they won, but their fans are really sh—y. I wanted to go up there and I wanted to play them and I wanted to beat them and I wanted him to be there so he can see it.”
“Just the way that they’re freaking obnoxious, just yelling about all that other stuff that doesn’t even matter.”
“Half of them don’t even know football. It’s so wierd to me. I’m just ready to go back out there and play. I want to go out there and beat the hell out of them on their field, and I want to hear the boos then. That’s what I look forward to.”
The Packers would win their Week 1 matchup up 38-20. The Bears would do better not to give stupid soundbites like these to the media until they take care of business at Lambeau Field. It’s now the year 2024; the Bears haven’t beaten the Packers since 2018.
