Brookfield, WI- Last night was a close intense battle between two outstanding football teams the Pewaukee Pirates and the Brookfield Central Lancers but last night’s game was a little different in several different ways, some for the better and some caused delays. Last night, we saw two very famous Pewaukee Alumni at the game that being J.J. Watt former Football Defensive End for the Houston Texans, and at the end of his career the Arizona Cardinals, his brother also made appearance Derek Watt who played for the San Diego Chargers as a fullback at the beginning of his career after being drafted with them in 2016. Both J.J. and Derek Watt both played for our Wisconsin Badgers so they are even more special to us in the Badger State. Below we had two people interview J.J Watt last night one being Zac Bellman of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel and John Pearson of Wisconsin Sports Network. This game was also featured on the WisSports.net Thursday Night Throwdown series and was called by Bob Brainerd and Dan Brunner.
Game Recap Pewaukee vs. Brookfield Central
Last night the beginning was not everyone’s favorite, with a scheduled start time of 7:00 pm that unfortunately did not start until 7:40 pm with storms pushing through the Milwaukee Metro area. We had a no-score game in the 1st quarter, but as we head to the 2nd quarter, Brookfield Central is the first to score with a field goal by Ryan Caprez to put the Lancers up 3-0, which would be the halftime score. But in the 3rd quarter right around the 4-minute mark Nick Borckmann of Pewaukee runs in it for 14 yards for a Pewaukee Pirates Touchdown, and then a two-point conversion run from Dawson Farra to give the Pewaukee Pirates the lead 8-3 with 4:05 remaining in the 3rd quarter. A few minutes later Brookfield Central answered back with a 12-yard touchdown run from Mason Medved to give the Lancers a 1-point lead, right after They tried for a two-point conversion and it was unsuccessful but that is all Brookfield Central would need. They would get the close win 9-8 over Pewaukee.J.J and Derek Watt Interviews at Halftime:
