The Green Bay Packers suffered yet another heart breaking loss in Week Seven. Another late fourth-quarter interception sealed the Packers’ loss as they were trying to come back from a two point deficit. The loss dropped the Packers to 2-4 on the season and realistically put the Packers in position to be a contender for one of the top draft picks next year.
Many fans took to social media after the Packers loss to express their frustrations. Coaching staff, play calling, player execution, and more were all heavily criticized. That being said, one trade was circulating from fans that went viral.
Green Bay Packers Fans Call For Jordan Love To Be Traded After Loss To The Denver Broncos
After the Packers’ loss to the Broncos, many fans felt they had seen enough of Jordan Love:
I would be trying to steal Mike LaFleur from the rams as my new HC. Then trade Jordan Love for Gardner Minshew (preferred), Cooper Rush, or Drew Lock. Then try to hire Drew Brees as a QB consultant. And try to sign Saquon and Kene Nwangwu as my RB’s. https://t.co/NMCbiiTgYD

This would be what many analysts refer to as an “over reaction.”
The Green Bay Packers Are Not Trading Jordan Love
Unless the Packers, somehow, are in position to draft one of the top quarterbacks in the 2024 NFL draft, it is highly unlikely they’ll move on from Jordan Love after one season. It took Aaron Rodgers multiple years to solidify himself as one of the better quarterbacks in the NFL. His first season he threw 13 interceptions.
Heck, even IF the Packers are in position to draft one of the top quarterbacks in next year’s draft, they still may commit to Love. At the end of the day it is his first year starting and everyone knew there would be growing pains. Additionally, the supporting cast around Love hasn’t done much to help him either.
The play-calling has been iffy (at best), the offensive line hasn’t been able to hold blocks, wide receivers have ran the wrong routes more than once. This is not to excuse Love for the mistakes he has made, however, to completely blame him isn’t justified. He will get AT LEAST 11 more starts to show he is progressing toward the quarterback the front office feels he can be.
