The Green Bay Packers played against the Chicago Bears in their season opener on Sunday afternoon. The offense was able to put up an impressive amount of points on the road. The NFL world saw that Jordan Love was able to shine in his Week 1 debut.

Following the Week 1 performance, Packers head coach Matt Lafleur gave some encouraging comments about his new starting quarterback after the victory against the Bears on Sunday.

Paul Bretl was the first to report on the Packers’ head coach’s comments:

In his first start as the new quarterback for the Green Bay Packers, Jordan Love had some impressive statistics in Chicago.

Love went 15-27 for 245 yards, and three touchdown passes in Chicago. Starting running back Aaron Jones caught a 35-yard pass from Jordan Love for his second passing touchdown of the game.

Second-year wide receiver Romeo Doubs brought in the other two passing touchdowns for the Green Bay Packers. Love also threw a 37-yard pass to Luke Musgrave after a dropped snap in the second half. That play led to the final touchdown that sealed the game for the Packers.

    Packers Confidence in Jordan Love

The Green Bay Packers have extreme confidence in their new starting quarterback, Jordan Love, after Week 1

Green Bay has every right to have confidence in their new starting quarterback. Even though it was only one game, it looks promising that the Packers offense could do well as the season progresses. The schedule will not get any easier, but it should help Love know that he can lead the team on offense.

If he can do that, and continue his poise at his position, not only would his teammates and coach be proud, but Green Bay Packers fans will be proud of their new leader under center, too. Hopefully, he will continue to get better individually to give the team success in 2023!
