Green Bay Packers News: Lukas Van Ness Makes Training Camp Revelation
Packers fans will be glad to know, however, that Van Ness has been all in at training camp thus far. The 22-year-old is well aware of the lofty expectations for his rookie year, and for his part, Van Ness has been putting in the work.
The No. 13 overall pick of the draft recently came out with a confession about his training camp. As it turns out, Van Ness has been so committed to the cause in Green Bay that he hasn’t had the chance to see the sights and sounds of the city:
“Well, I’ve eaten at one restaurant outside the facility, so if that says enough,” Van Ness said via Cody Krupp of FOX News 11.
“If I’m pronouncing it right, it was Plae Bistro,” he said. “I got the pasta, which was pretty good.”
The good news for Van Ness is at least he was able to enjoy his one meal outside of Lambeau Field. This young man has not even had the time to go out and start his gastronomic journey in Green Bay. That’s how dedicated Van Ness has been to his football ahead of his rookie season.

It’s not as if he’s complaining either. According to the Barrington, Illinois native, he’s enjoying every second of it. Van Ness knows what he’s signed up for, and he has every intention of living up to the pressure:
“I haven’t had too much time to explore, but I’m sure the time will come, and I’m excited to see around the place,” Van Ness aid. “But right now, this is camp, kinda locked down. But again, this is what I’m here for. I’m here to play football and I couldn’t be happier.”
