The Green Bay Packers are heading into the 2023 season with a number of changes on their roster. For the first time in 31 years, someone not named Brett Favre or Aaron Rodgers will be under center for week one. Additionally, the Packers added four players in the first three rounds of the 2023 NFL Draft that will certainly see substantial playing time. On defense, the biggest news is the addition of veteran safety Jonathan Owens. As it turns out, there could be more help on the way for the Green Bay Packers’ defense.
Green Bay Packers Expected To Sign Adrian Amos And Leonard Floyd Per Report
In an article by Matt Lombardo:
Leonard Floyd, EDGE
Best Fits: Green Bay Packers, New York Giants, Philadelphia Eagles
Unlike some names still available, Leonard Floyd has been able to stay healthy and on the field, appearing in every game since 2017, while producing at a high level. In 2022, Floyd racked up 9.0 sacks and 59 total tackles, before becoming a Los Angeles Rams cap casualty in GM Les Sneed’s mad dash to get cap compliant.
Adrian Amos, S
Best Fits: Green Bay Packers, Philadelphia Eagles, Seattle Seahawks
Adrian Amos remains as steady as they come at the safety position, and is coming off a career-high 102 tackles in 2022, along with 1.0 sack and an interception. Despite his production, Amos faces an uncertain future in Green Bay, because the Packers have invested significantly in the position over the past two off-seasons.
After the Jonathan Ford signing, Adrian Amos did respond to a goodbye message posted on social media, however, Brian Gutekunst specifically said he wouldn’t close the door on an Amos reunion. As far as Leonard Floyd goes, it will be interesting to see what type of contract he would demand in the open market. Floyd has recorded 18.5 sacks over the last two seasons, showing that he is still a consistent defender in the NFL. If the Packers are able to get him on a veteran discount, it would be huge for the rotation of their pass rush.

McQuade Arnold is Thee biggest hack when it comes to sports writing. Constant clickbait headlines, for example Green Bay is not expected to sign these two players, they were listed as one of the best fits. Glad he is a diehard Wi sports fan, but he is bad bad at bringing us Packers news.
