Milwaukee Brewers top prospect Jackson Chourio is not only highly regarded in their organization but across all of baseball as well. The potential that he showed in the minor leagues resulted in him inking a historic eight year, $82 million contract this off-season. He officially will start in right field on Opening Day against the New York Mets, so here are three facts to know regarding his MLB Debut.
Jackson Chourio will be the eighth player in Milwaukee Brewers franchise history to make his MLB debut on Opening Day.
Mike Vassallo pointed out that Jackson Chourio will be the eighth player to make his MLB debut on Opening Day. The last Brewers player to do this was Brice Turang a season ago. Before that it was J.J. Hardy in 2005.

Only five other Brewers have debuted at a younger age than Jackson Chourio.
At 20 years old Jackson Chourio is young to be playing in the big leagues, but there has been younger. Robin Yount, otherwise known as The Kid, was the youngest Brewer at 18 years old in 1974. Importantly not all of these players ahead of Chourio were on the Opening Day roster or starting on Opening Day.
Jackson Chourio (20.017 on OD) will be the sixth-youngest player to play for the @Brewers.
Robin Yount (18.201 in 1974)
Ed Romero (19.219 in 1977)
Darrell Porter (19.228 in 1971)
Gary Sheffield (19.290 in 1988)
Kevin Kobel (19.341 in 1973)(based on first game for the player)

In the divisional era only four other players have started on Opening Day and been younger in age.
