The Green Bay Packers suffered their second straight loss last week against the Las Vegas Raiders in what turned out to be another disappointing defeat for the Packers. Jordan Love had a forgettable outing in that one, and there’s no denying that his lackluster performance played a key role in Green Bay’s third loss of the season.
Green Bay Packers QB Jordan Love Sounds Off on Raiders Defeat
Love has unsurprisingly been on the receiving end of a lot of criticism following his poor showing against the Raiders. On Wednesday, the 24-year-old admitted that the loss has weighed heavily on his mind over the past several days:
“It’s not a great feeling, definitely left a very sick taste in my mouth that whole week,” Love said, via Jason Wilde of Wisonsin State Journal. “But, it’s part of the game. I’ve had three-interception games before. You’ve got to find a way to bounce back.
“Having that sick taste in my mouth, it’s going to keep pushing me forward, keep motivating me to keep going, keep getting better.”
As Love said, however, there’s nothing more he can do now but to move forward. He hasn’t been performing up to par over the past couple of games, and he knows it.
The good news for Green Bay is that they’ve had a lot of time to rest and recuperate following their bye week. They return to action in Week 7 against the Denver Broncos, and as he said, you can be sure that Jordan Love will be out there to prove a point come Sunday.
