Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love has been on the receiving end of some heavy criticism following his three-interception performance on Monday night against the Las Vegas Raiders. This was the second straight game Love had a disappointing showing following Green Bay’s Week 4 loss against the Detroit Lions, which is why it isn’t surprising that some fans have been quick to bring out the pitchforks on the young quarterback.
Green Bay Packers Legend Aaron Rodgers’ Message for Jordan Love

Aaron Rodgers is having none of it, though. The New York Jets superstar was quick to come to Love’s defense amid the latter’s struggles. Speaking on his weekly appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, Rodgers revealed that he sent Love some words of encouragement following Monday’s clunker:
“I sent him a message last night,” Rodgers said. “I love Jordan, he’s a great kid.
“… The important thing as a quarterback is just trying to keep your confidence, not getting into all the bulls***, realize it’s just part of it. There’s gonna be ups and downs in your career, ups and downs in the season. You’ve just got to keep pushing through, be the same guy every day.”

Rodgers sounded off on how fans tend to overreact to these situations and how the narrative can change on a week-to-week basis. At this point, the four-time NFL MVP is confident that Love is capable of turning things around significantly.
Aaron Rodgers Addresses Packers Fans

Rodgers spent a couple of years playing alongside Love in Green Bay, which is why the 39-year-old knows exactly what his protege brings to the table — both on and off the field. Rodgers is adamant that Love’s struggles are just part of the process:
“Listen, there’s going to be growing pains. I had growing pains my rookie year. We all go through it,” Rodgers said. “… He’s going to be just fine.”
"I sent Jordan Love a message last night and he's a great kid..
The important thing as a QB is to keep your confidence and we all go through growing pains..

The 10-time Pro Bowl quarterback then turned his attention to Packers supporters. Rodgers sent them a stern reminder about standing their ground, not panicking, and remaining loyal to their young quarterback:
“I will just say to the Packers fans, just take some deep breaths,” Rodgers said. “Just trust this kid. He’s a great kid he cares about it. He’s gonna be around for a while and they’re gonna get it fixed.”
