The Green Bay Packers may have done it once again. Jordan Love could very well be the team’s third straight franchise quarterback. After sitting behind Aaron Rodgers for three years he finally got his shot to start in 2023.
As Love enters his second season starting under center, he is developing some pretty special friendships on the team.

According to Christopher Kuhagen of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel:
AJ Dillon and Jordan Love built a friendship before they even arrived to the Packers
Dillon played at Boston College, and Love at Utah State.
But after joining the same agency after college, they became fast friends and lived in the same apartment in Orange County prior to the draft. That friendship has continued to grow in the years together with the Packers.
“We got to know each other really well,” Dillon recalls about those days before the draft. “We got a great friendship, started before we became teammates. Came a long ways.”
Love was the first-round pick in 2020 who the Packers were betting on becoming the heir apparent to Aaron Rodgers. Dillon was selected 36 picks later by the Packers and quickly became a fan favorite after he took an instant liking to the community.
While many outside Green Bay had doubts about Love, Dillon always had his back.
“Jordan Love, he’s one of my good friends,” Dillon said. “I’ve seen his whole process. For me, I want to be there with him, help him out. I want to help go get that ring.
“It’s awesome. I want to be part of it, to be able to experience that with one of my best friends on and off the field.”
The Packers Will Have High Expectations For Their Offense Going Into 2024

The Packers are going into the 2023 season with a ton of confidence. Eight of the 11 starters from opening day are back, with Jon Runyan, David Bakhtiari, and Aaron Jones the exceptions.
Following Bakhtiari’s injury in Week 1, Rasheed Walker started 17 games (including playoffs) in Bakhtiari’s place. Jones has been replaced by former All-Pro Josh Jacobs. They have returned all of their top pass-catchers. However they all now have one year of experience catching Love’s passes under LaFleur’s offense.
Rookies Jordan Morgan and MarShawn Lloyd hope to fill the few remaining areas of concern on offense.
“Oh, it’s night and day. Night and day because last year, going into the draft, we had maybe three receivers on the roster. We had two tight ends,” offensive coordinator Adam Stenavich said on Monday.
“It was just one of those things where you didn’t really know what direction you could go yet because you didn’t really know who was going to be on your team and what skill-set they had. Even going into camp and going into the season, it was the same deal like, how much can you put on these guys’ plates and allow them to go out and execute?
So, now everyone has a year under their belt, so to speak. It’s been great to just know what these guys are good at, what they need to improve on and just allow them to just go ahead and be the best players that they can be.”
