The Green Bay Packers have moved on from a number of stars over recent years. Their multiple trades and free agent moves (both releasing players and signings) have ushered in one of the youngest teams in the entire league. That team wound up just three points shy of reaching the NFC Championship game last season, and expectations have only gone up this year.
However, there is one former star who says he’ll likely never suit up for the Packers again.
Former Green Bay Packers All-Pro Won’t Be Returning To Team
In late May, Matt Schneidman from The Athletic reported on Josh Jacobs trying to recruit Davante Adams back to the Packers:
Josh Jacobs: “The receiving corps is crazy, man. I’m so excited just watching them. Any one of them can go at any moment.”
Also Jacobs on Davante Adams: “When I came out here … I sent him the little eyes emoji. I said, ‘You thinking about coming back?’ But man, he loved it.”
Today on the Up and Adams Show, Adams himself said that won’t happen:
Raiders WR Davante Adams response to Josh Jacobs text about returning to the Packers…“You go ahead and hold it down in (Green Bay)… I don’t think I’ll be coming back over there.”

Adams Could Have His Sights Set On A Different Team
Ever since the two all-pros went their separate ways, they’ve kept in contact. From attending the Kentucky Derby together to golf outings. The two have certainly kept their friendship alive.
However, conversations may have taken a little bit of a turn recently:

This isn’t the first time we’ve heard reports about Aaron Rodgers lobbying Davante Adams to join the Jets from the Las Vegas Raiders.
In his first eight seasons in the NFL, Adams played for the Green Bay Packers under Aaron Rodgers. Even though Adams has two more years left on his contract (the Raiders can opt out of his contract for a salary cap hit of $15.7 million), there has always been speculation that the playmaker and quarterback might reunite in New York.
Adams didn’t add any fuel to the fire that he wants out of Las Vegas. There was no indication that he had any concerns about the future of the franchise, or that he had any trade demands.
But the interest is certainly there to play with his former QB again.
