Green Bay Packers fans were frustrated after their team’s Thursday night loss to the Detroit Lions. And rightly so. The Packers were outplayed in every facet of the game and lost in embarrassing fashion at home to a division rival.
That all being said, at least the Packers’ future looks bright. To be fair, Green Bay was playing without their All-Pro left tackle (David Bakhtiari), Pro Bowl left guard (Elgton Jenkins), All-Pro linebacker (De’Vondre Campbell), and Pro Bowl cornerback (Jaire Alexander). Additionally, their starting running back (Aaron Jones) and wide receiver one (Christian Watson) were playing on snap counts.
In short, it was the kind of performance that should be expected from a young team dealing with a plethora of injuries. On the bright side, the future looks great.
The same cannot be said for the Chicago Bears, who spent more money in free agency than any NFL team this past offseason. On Sunday, the Bears dropped to 0-4 after once leading by 21 points against the Denver Broncos. After all the trash talk Chicago fans posted on social media during the offseason, Green Bay fans held nothing back during and after the Bears’ latest embarrassment.
The Chicago Bears Blow a 21-Point Lead Against the Denver Broncos
The Broncos got on the board first after a touchdown pass from former Wisconsin Badgers quarterback Russell Wilson to running back Jaleel MacLaughlin in the first quarter. After that, though, the Bears went on an uncharacteristic tear and put up 28 unanswered points.
After their final touchdown in the third quarter, though, Denver took over. They scored 24 unanswered points, including a touchdown on a fumble recovery (Justin Fields was the one who lost the ball). Additionally, the Broncos picked off Fields with 1:14 left in the game.
That was the end of the Bears’ threat and Denver won the game 31-28.
Green Bay Packers Fans React to the Chicago Bears Dropping to 0-4
The Bears and their fans talked a big game all offseason. After the Aaron Rodgers trade and their own big spending, they were sure that the NFC North division was going to be theirs for years to come. Now? Well now it looks like they may be looking to replace Justin Fields next season and fire their entire coaching staff.
Packers fans did not forget the smack talk from the offseason and unloaded (once again) on the Bears’ pitiful performance:
“The bears lost and are now 0-4”

i’m not worried about the bears getting caleb williams. they’re a snake-bit organization. they will ruin anything they touch. let them go 0-17, it won’t matter https://t.co/Jf8b9GJMZy

To all the Bears fans out there that are cool, I’m so sorry for your suffering.
To all those that spent the past 8 months being nasty, you deserve this.— Comrade_Dad 🧀🦌🍺 (@atmedley) October 1, 2023
As rough as Thursday night was on Packers fans, at least they have reason to believe their team can compete in most of the games that they play. Can Bears fans say the same?
