The Green Bay Packers had a thrilling comeback victory against the Saints thanks to Jordan Love. Last year, a lot of players were saying how much confidence they had in the young quarterback. We are now seeing what they saw every day in practice. After the game, injured offensive lineman Elgton Jenkins stayed behind to talk to reporters about how special the victory was.
Elgton Jenkins didn’t play today, but he sat at his locker a long time. Wanted to talk about Jordan Love. The smile on his face said everything, but the words?

Packers Elgton Jenkins Heaps Praise On Jordan Love
Jenkins spent a lot of time at his locker talking about the game.
“Just him and the resiliency just to come out there down 17 going into the fourth, the ultimate downs, he don’t blink. He just goes out there and do what he do. Offense rallies around him, defense does what they do. It was special, special performance, now. We always knew that he had it, things like that. But just him being able to go out there and just put it together live for everybody in his first game at Lambeau, it’s just special. Just special.”
Special. That was the word that Jenkins used four times. One thing is clear. This team believes in Love and wants to rally around him for him to succeed. A comeback like that does not happen without the team believing that they can actually win.

First Game At Lambeau
It is crazy to think that Love hasn’t really played in front of the home crowd but it’s true. His spot start after Aaron Rodgers got COVID-19 was in Kansas City. He played the meaningless week 18 game in Detroit. Last season, his relief appearance came in Philadelphia. For the first three quarters, it looked like a very uninspiring performance. Then Love caught fire and made some high-level passes including the go-ahead touchdown to Romeo Doubs. This was a special moment for fans and Elgton Jenkins is happy that everyone got a chance to experience it.

Jordan Love and the offense have a quick turnaround. The Detroit Lions come to town on Thursday night and an early lead in the NFC North is on the line. There are many question marks thanks to a lot of injuries. One thing is for sure. Love is going to come out and compete no matter what is happening.
