A few years ago, Aaron Rodgers solidified himself as one of the best players to ever suit up for the Green Bay Packers by winning the MVP in 2020 and 2021. During that time, the whole world was ravaged by COVID-19, leading the star quarterback to take a different stance on the issue.
During those two seasons the whole world was fighting the pandemic, Rodgers rose to the challenge and proved he was the best out there on the field. The Packers’ starting QB led the NFL in touchdown percentage, quarterback rating, and adjusted net yards per pass attempt, among others.
And while Green Bay never reached the Super Bowl during those two seasons, Rodgers would go on to win the MVP award twice. The thing is, the star QB was vocal about COVID-19 and the vaccination drive that came along with it.
As a result, Rodgers’ pair of MVP campaigns were marred by the issue and his stance on the vaccines. Furthermore, his admission of not getting vaccinated and standing up for that decision rubbed a lot of people the wrong way back then.
Green Bay Packers Icon Aaron Rodgers To Continue Talking About COVID-19, Vaccines
Years after the COVID-19 vaccination has somewhat died down, Rodgers appeared at Joe Rogan’s show and addressed the issue once again. In an article by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, the former Green Bay Packers star shares his thoughts on the matter:
“I’m going to continue talking about this because it’s important to me,” Rodgers told Rogan. “I don’t want the memories to be lost. I don’t want what I went through to get brushed over. And also I don’t give a (f—).”
With his career winding down, there’s nothing more this future Hall of Fame player can accomplish in the NFL. Along with the thought of Rodgers going back to the Packers, his perspective on this particular issue might recur again in the coming months.
