The Green Bay Packers are heading into Week Seven with a 2-3 record. If the Packers want to make the playoffs in Jordan Love’s first year as a starter, the offense will need to kick it up a notch. Through the first five games we have seen inconsistent play from the offense, however, one thing has remained consistent. When Aaron Jones is on the field, the team wins football games.
The Packers have a record of 32-8 when Aaron Jones gets at least 15 touches in a game. That type of statistic is not only shocking, but shows how important Jones is to this team. Jones has missed a significant part of this season due to a lingering hamstring injury.
Green Bay Packers Fans Rejoice To See Aaron Jones Back At Practice Ahead Of Their Week Seven Matchup Vs. The Denver Broncos
Jordan Sigler of Wisconsin Sports Heroics first reported it for our site:
The Packers received good news at Monday’s practice on the status of Jones coming off the team’s bye week. According to Matt Schneidman with The Athletic, Jones was seen practicing with the team.
That’s a good sign for his availability against the Broncos. Jones has been the Packers most efficient running back this season. He has 59 yards on 14 attempts for an average of 4.2 yards per rush.
The Broncos are the perfect team for Jones and the Packers to get back on track running the football. The Broncos’ defense ranks 32nd in the league in rushing yards given up per game, with 172.3 yards surrendered on average.
Getting Jones back on the field means this offense could see a huge boost in the amount of points they score. The Packers have scored 20 or less points in each of their last three games. When fans saw that #33 was back on the field, they took to social media to react:
Saw Aaron Jones catching passes like this during practice before the Raiders game
