The Green Bay Packers have good news about one offensive weapon ahead of their Week 7 matchup with the Denver Broncos. The Packers have been without running back Aaron Jones for much of the season. Jones injured his hamstring in Week 1 against the Chicago Bears.
Jones returned in Week 4 to play the Detroit Lions. But he only played in 20 offensive snaps in the Packers’ blowout loss. Jones did not play in the Packers’ loss to the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 5.
The Packers rushing offense has suffered without Jones. The Packers RB2, AJ Dillon, averages 3.0 yards per rush this season.
That won’t get the job done for the 2-3 Packers.

The Packers received good news at Monday’s practice on the status of Jones coming off the team’s bye week. According to Matt Schneidman with The Athletic, Jones was seen practicing with the team.

That’s a good sign for his availability against the Broncos. Jones has been the Packers most efficient running back this season. He has 59 yards on 14 attempts for an average of 4.2 yards per rush.
The Broncos are the perfect team for Jones and the Packers to get back on track running the football. The Broncos’ defense ranks 32nd in the league in rushing yards given up per game, with 172.3 yards surrendered on average.
