Williams was nothing shy of phenomenal in the shortened season this year. He posted a 4-1 record in 23 outings, with a 0.33 ERA and 53 strikeouts. His performance this season places him in the race for multiple Baseball Writers’ Association of America (BBWAA) awards as well. This includes the Rookie of the Year and Reliever of the Year awards.
This marks the third straight year that a Brewers’ pitcher has won the award. Josh Hader won it in each of the past two seasons.
