The Brewers are off to a scorching start in 2023. Despite drawing the Mets and Cardinals in two of their first three matchups. The Brewers have the best record in the National League right now and it wouldn’t be possible without Craig Counsell.
Counsell is the franchise leader in managerial wins, but tonight he will tie Phil Garner for games managed for the Milwaukee Brewers. Tonight will mark Counsell’s 1,180th game he has managed for the Brewers.

Craig Counsell in Milwaukee

Craig Counsell took over as manager of the Brewers in 2015 at the age of 44. He is 622-557 as manager of the Crew. The Brewers have yet to reach the World Series under Counsell but reached the NLCS in 2018. This year the Brewers are 7-2 to start the year and have pitched three shutouts. The team is rolling right now, but there is a long season ahead. Last season, the Brewers got out to their best 50-game start in franchise history. They could be looking to beat that again.
