The Green Bay Packers received an excellent sign Friday afternoon for the status of a critical wide receiver’s availability this week against the New Orleans Saints. The Packers have been without Christian Watson during the first two games of the season as he deals with a hamstring injury.
Watson was seen back to practice on Wednesday. However, he missed Thursday’s practice. Head coach Matt LaFleur said after Thursday’s practice Watson’s miss was pre-planned this week to give him a day of rest. LaFleur said the Packers would gauge where Watson is at Friday to determine if he can play in Week 3.
Christian Watson is back at Green Bay Packers’ practice Friday
According to Rob Demovksy with ESPN, Watson was back to practice on Friday.
Christian Watson was back after sitting out yesterday. You can see him heading outside. But Aaron Jones, who did practice yesterday, was still getting stretched out inside when media viewing ended.

That’s a great sign for his availability against the Saints. Watson will be a massive boost for quarterback Jordan Love and the Packers offense in Week 3.
A return of Watson and running back Aaron Jones would be timely, as the Packers are expected to be without David Bakhtiari and Elgton Jenkins against the Saints.

We’ll see how the status of all four players looks on Friday’s injury report.
