The Green Bay Packers appear to have one major injury setback Thursday as the team prepares to play the New Orleans Saints in Week 3. The Packers are dealing with several injuries to key offensive players in the early season.
The Packers are expected to be without Elgton Jenkins and David Bakhtiari against the Saints. The Packers did get one positive update Thursday as running back Aaron Jones returned to practice for the first time after sustaining a hamstring injury in Week 1 against the Chicago Bears.
Christian Watson missed Green Bay Packers practice Thursday
However, hamstring injuries can fluctuate on the injury report. According to Wes Hodkiezicz with the Packers, Watson did not practice Thursday.
Aaron Jones is participating in Thursday’s padded practice at Hinkle.
Lukas Van Ness continued to practice with a sleeve on the elbow.

That will be a setback on the injury report for Watson and the Packers. Watson returned to practice Wednesday and appeared to be tracking toward playing against the Saints in Week 3. But his Thursday DNP status casts doubt on whether he can play against the Saints.

Friday’s injury report should be telling for Watson and Jones.
