One of the more fun storylines in Packers training camp has been the saga of the JUGS machine. LaFleur called out the machine last week saying that he would be taking any offers for a new one. It seems they found one. Check out the Packers new JUGS Machine.
No Ordinary JUGS Machine

This is no ordinary JUGS machine. Developed by Monarc Sports, the Seeker was made for receivers to practice their skills during the Covid-19 pandemic. What makes this JUGS machine different is all of the things it can do. It can change the velocity, trajectory, and pace of the balls. What this means is the balls coming from this machine are more realistic. Furthermore, you can set it up to deliver balls like QBs your team will see in the coming weeks. This could have massive implications for receivers and defensive backs alike. Being able to tailor passes and punts to simulate the team you are playing could give the Packers the slight edge they need in certain games.
It’ll Be Interesting To See the Results
When LaFleur said he wanted a new JUGS machine, he really went new. The Packers are the first NFL team to use the Seeker though it has been used by many other football programs. The Packers have a one month trial lease. It’ll be interesting to see after the month is up whether the Packers decide to keep the Seeker as their primary JUGS machine or go back to the traditional one. The Packers have two more preseason games so we will see if this machine makes a difference there. If they do use it in the regular season, it will be interesting to see if the players talk about how the Seeker is helping.
Regardless of what it does for on the field production, you cannot deny that the Packers new JUGS machine is cool. Football is also a game of inches. If the Seeker gives them that inch of an edge, that could be the difference between winning and losing. The saga of the Packers new JUGS machine continues and I for one and excited to see how it concludes.
