The Green Bay Packers’ season came to an end last Saturday night when the San Francisco 49ers eliminated them in a thrilling match. Although the team was in command for most of the game, the final stretch saw the Jordan Love-led squad falter to their opponents.
Among the key lapses that occurred were a missed kick by rookie Anders Carlson and a wild pass by Love that sealed their fate against San Francisco. These plays gave the 49ers an opening to get the win and advance to the NFC championship, as analyzed by ESPN’s Rob Gronkowski.
For his part, Packers’ head coach Matt LaFleur gave his take on those particular plays as the team ended their run this season. In the meantime, Green Bay will look to improve its roster over the summer via the 2024 NFL Draft or signing free agents to the team.

Speaking of free agents, there are a couple of names that can help the Packers reach the promised land next season. Among the guys being floated around is the Buffalo Bills’ DaQuan Jones.
With defense being a weak point for Green Bay, it only makes sense for the front office to target the defensive tackle. Another option to improve the Packers’ defensive performance is signing Patrick Queen, a linebacker playing for the Baltimore Ravens this season.
Both of these guys can definitely improve the team on defense, raising the Packers’ ceiling in the process. And if price is an issue, the front office can go for other free agents, such as Dorance Armstrong and Anthony Walker Jr.
When it comes to safeties, Green Bay can consider signing the likes of Jeremy Chin and Jordan Whitehead. Also, Rasheed Walker may be useful when it comes down to the line. In any case, these names are worth monitoring to see if the Packers can get any of them to improve their record next season, or even win the Super Bowl.
