It has been a difficult week for Milwaukee Brewers fans. Josh Hader was traded. The team has gone 1-6 since the deal and has fallen out of first place in the NL Central. To be sure, it is difficult to find the silver lining sometimes. While Brewers fans are certainly tired of the “well just you wait to see who is coming up” line, the team’s second round pick is VERY exciting. Jacob Misiorowski, a right-handed pitcher, is being called the “steal of the draft” by minor league baseball and draft analysts.
Seems to be a loud industry opinion that Milwaukee Brewers 2nd Rd pick RHP Jacob Misiorowski is the steal of the draft. A whole lot of "He's a Top 100 guy already" going on. Got paid like a first rounder too. Up to 102. Low 90s SL. Unbelievable athlete for his 6-7 frame.

The Scouting Report on Jacob Misiorowski
Jacob Misiorowski is reported to be a phenomenal athlete who fields his position well. He has an above average fastball that consistently clocks in between 96-98 mph. At the draft combine, his fastest pitch was clocked at 100.7 mph. He also had one hit 99.9 mph on the radar gun. Misiorowski also turned heads with the highest revolutions per minute movement on his fastball. One of his fastballs was measured to have an incredible 2,816 rpm. Misiorowski averaged 2,688 rpm on all of his fastballs, the most of any prospect in the draft.
In addition to the fastball, Misiorowski also has a slider that is considered to be above average as well. It clocks in low 90s on the radar gun. He also has thrown a curveball and changeup, but these pitches need a great deal of development. Scouts believe he will need to improve at least one of them if he is to be a starter in the Majors. If not, he will most likely be a relief pitcher, and a great one at that! A closer that throws 100 mph and has a wicked slider? The Brewers had one of those very recently…
