The Packers get a good sign for defensive players Week 8 game status
The Green Bay Packers Week 8 injury report was concerning. The Packers had several starting names on there that did not practice Wednesday. It’s especially worrying this week as the Packers take on the toughest opponent on their schedule this season, the Buffalo Bills. Reports coming from practice Thursday were better for a key defensive player.
The Packers will need a serious pass rush to complicate the Bills’ offense. Quarterback Josh Allen is off to a great season, and the more pressure the Packers can get on him, the better their odds of winning. Linebacker Rashan Gary suffered a concussion in the Packers’ loss to the Washington Commanders. He did not practice Wednesday. The Packers released a video of Gary coming out onto the practice field with his teammate Thursday afternoon.

The Packers need everyone healthy
Seeing the critical defensive player lead the Packers onto the practice field is a good sign. He’s the Packers’ sack leader this season with six total sacks. Gary will need to help make plays on a shorthanded roster.
The team still has a few key players as DNP as of Thursday. According to Tom Silverstein of The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Reporter, David Bakhtiari is not practicing Thursday. Wide receiver Allen Lazard, cornerback Shemar Jean-Charles, and tight end Marcedes Lewis are also out. Lewis isn’t out with an injury; it’s just his veteran’s rest day.
#Packers practice: LT David Bakhtiari riding bike and not dressed in pads. He practiced yesterday. WR Allen Lazard (shoulder), Shemar Jean-Charles (ankle) and TE Marcedes Lewis (vet rest) are out. OLB Rashan Gary (concussion) in pads working drills. Good sign for him.
