After missing the previous Brewers’ last four games, the team has placed the 2018 MVP, Christian Yelich, on the 10-day injured list. Yelich has been dealing with a back injury since the end of the Cardinals’ series.

There is not yet any date given on when he will be expected to return. Since he has missed some games already, the team may make his IL stint retroactive to a previous date. The team will be making a corresponding move in order to fill his spot on the active roster.
Christian Yelich is hitting .333/.459/.367 with no home runs and a RBI so far this season. To many, this is very reminiscent to how Ryan Braun would get hurt early in the season as well.
When Ryan Braun talked about "passing the torch" to Yelich, I didn't realize that meant Yelich would sit out for a week but not go on the DL like Braun used to.
