Even though no Brewers’ position players were voted in as starters for the All-Star Game, the Brewers will be represented by three of their pitchers.  Brandon Woodruff, Corbin Burnes, and Josh Hader have been voted onto the National League roster by their peers.

The Brewers are sending three pitchers to the All-Star Game for the first time ever. Best part: Josh Hader, Brandon Woodruff and Corbin Burnes were all voted in by their player peers.

Freddy Peralta didn't make it, but there's always a chance he'll be an alternate.

    Brandon Woodruff

Let's not forget about Brandon Woodruff - Beyond the Box Score

Brandon Woodruff, considered the ace of the Brewers’ staff, will be making his second All-Star appearance.  This season, he is 7-3 with a 1.73 ERA and 0.78 WHIP.  Woody has also struck out 119 batters in 101 innings.  Woodruff’s previous All-Star appearance was in 2019.

    Corbin Burnes

Improved Corbin Burnes adapts to being on call out of Brewers' bullpen

Corbin Burnes’ amazing career renaissance over the past two seasons has finally been recognized.  In 2019, Burnes lost his starting job and ended up all the way down in Double A.  His ERA that season was a whopping 8.82.  Last season, Burnes bounced back, going 4-1 with a 2.11 ERA, finishing sixth in the NL Cy Young Award vote.  In 2021, he is 4-4 with a 2.41 ERA and 0.90 WHIP.  Additionally, Burnes has 120 strikeouts in just 82 innings pitched.

Now a familiar name among National League All-Stars, Josh Hader will be making his third consecutive All-Star appearance.  Due to the shortened 2020 season, there was no All-Star Game last year.  However, Hader was selected in 2018 and 2019.  This season, Hader is even better than he was in his first two All-Star seasons.  Hader currently is 3-0 with a 0.55 ERA and 0.74 WHIP.  Additionally, Hader has converted all 20 of his save opportunities.
