A few days ago, the Wisconisn Badgers basketball game was against Morgan State was called off due to COVID 19 problems in the Morgan State program. Tonight, the Badgers found a replacement team to take that spot. Thursday night, they will take on George Mason at the Kohl Center. Tip time is scheduled for 6 PM on BTN.
About George Mason
George Mason is from the Patriot League. They currently hold a 7-5 record, including a 67-44 win over American tonight. This team defeated Morgan State, Wisconsin’s original opponent, 90-53. They have also beaten fellow Big Ten team Maryland 71-66 on November 17.
From a statistics perspective, they average 73.3 points a game and shoots 46% from the three as a team.
My initial thoughts are this has a potential to be a trap game for Wisconsin. George Mason has played a good schedule to this point. They will come to Madison with nothing to lose. It should be a good game Thursday night!
