For the first time in a long time, there is some hope in Chicago. In the last 20 years, any Packers fan can tell you how much pain we have caused the Bears. The play of QB Justin Fields has given Bears fans hope that they could take the next 20 years. While the play has been better, the Bears have still not been able to win games. A crucial pick-6 thrown by Fields let the Lions back in the game and they lost by one. After the game, Justin Fields made a ridiculous prediction
Justin Fields Makes Ridiculous Prediction
Bears QB Justin Fields on the pick-6: “I can assure you that will never happen again for the rest of my career.”

The pick-6 that Fields threw was a game-changer. When asked about it postgame he said, “I can assure you that will never happen again for the rest of my career.” If he is predicting that he will never throw another pick-6 in his career, he is dreaming. Even the best quarterbacks throw a pick-6 every so often. Fields is also still a young quarterback who is bound to make mistakes every so often. This is a ridiculous statement by Fields after the game.
Fields Is Looking Better But Still Makes Huge Mistakes
The pick-6 was an absolute mistake by Fields. He was pressured on the play but he still made a deplorable decision and the interception was easily walked in for a touchdown. The Bears’ coaching staff is doing a great job at putting Fields in positions to succeed but it has not translated into winning just yet. Young quarterbacks make mistakes and throwing a pick-6 is nothing to be ashamed of. The ridiculous prediction by Fields is just over the top and unnecessary. Honestly, while the pick-6 was terrible, I don’t blame that game on Fields.
It is funny to see Bears fans get so excited about remotely good play. I think Fields’ comments show the flack that he has been getting for poor play and he is trying to assure fans that he is going to be the quarterback of the future. Time will tell if the Bears spend some time in the limelight or if the Packers can retool and dominate for another decade.
