The Women’s Badgers hockey team welcomes Boston College to open their home slate this season. Boston College will mark an unranked opponent for the No. 1 ranked Wisconsin Badgers as they look to continue their dominant stretch after a drubbing of Lindenwood in the opening series.

Newcomers to Badgers Hockey Look to Impress
The Badgers showcased five of their new players in their sweep of Lindenwood, and each of them contributed to the team. They were led by freshman Cassie Hall, who took home Freshman of the Week honors from the WCHA. Hall recorded four goals in one game on Friday, becoming the second rookie for Badgers hockey to accomplish the feat. Anna Wilgren is a graduate transfer from Minnesota, and she recorded five assists in the Friday night 16-1 game, matching a school record by a defenseman.
Freshmen Laney Potter and Ava Murphy each recorded three assists between the two games. Freshman goaltender Ava McNaughton had 16 saves in her debut on Friday night.
Three Wisconsin Badgers Look to Continue Player of the Week Performances
Cassie Hall, Lacey Eden, and Caroline Harvey each took home one of the four WCHA Player of the Week honors for their part in the record-breaking opening games for Badgers hockey against Lindenwood. Eden recorded her first collegiate hat trick on Friday, Harvey recorded five points as a defenseman, and Hall added four goals on Friday, along with a +6 plus/minus rating on the ice over the opening series.
