The Milwaukee Brewers are always looking at ways to improve their roster.  On September 1 rosters will expand from 26 active players to 28 and there are some good internal candidates to consider.  Externally nearly a dozen players were recently placed on waivers and if claimed before Friday they will be post-season eligible.  Let’s take a look at who is all available and which ones could fill roles on the Brewers. Pittsburgh Pirates starting pitcher Johan Oviedo threw a complete game shutout on Monday night against the Kansas City Royals.  The 25 year old did this by throwing 112 pitches while allowing just two hits.  Additionally he became the first Pirates pitcher to throw a complete game shutout on the road since 2017. The Milwaukee Brewers announced a few days ago that stud up and coming pitching prospect Jacob Misiorowski was being temporarily shut down with arm fatigue.  Their second round pick in the 2022 MLB draft had worked his way up to Double-A and had accumulated a ton of strikeouts along the way.  His injury diagnosis of “arm fatigue” has now received a massive update thanks to MLB Insider from Fansided Robert Murray. The Milwaukee Brewers currently have a nine game winning streak and in the words of Mark Canha are “offense-ing” very well.  Runs have come in bunches at times in which over the last week alone they have had three separate five run innings, a seven run inning, and one four run inning to open up the Chicago Cubs series.
