Milwaukee Brewers first baseman/designated hitter Rowdy Tellez recently returned to the big leagues after a minor league injury rehab assignment. He initially was placed on the IL with forearm irritation and he then sustained a second injury to his finger during a freak accident while shagging balls in the outfield. While recovering he spent a week and a half rehabbing at Triple-A Nashville and on an episode of Foul Territory he revealed one truth from that assignment.
Rowdy Tellez revealed one truth from his Milwaukee Brewers minor league rehab assignment.
During his minor league rehab assignment Rowdy Tellez hit a walk-off three run home run. One unknown fact regarding this is that walk-off home run was his first ever at any level. He revealed this live on Foul Territory, in which he frequently is a guest on their show.
It is quite remarkable that Rowdy Tellez never hit a walk-off home run until he was 28 years old. This means that while growing up as a kid playing baseball, being a High Schooler at Elk Grove in California, and 10 years in between the Toronto Blue Jays and Milwaukee Brewers organizations he never had one. Perhaps he will get his first MLB walk-off home run with the Brew Crew this season.
