Giannis: The Improbable Rise of an NBA MVP by Mirin Fader is possibly the most well-timed book publication in recent history.  With the Bucks winning the Finals and Giannis adding Finals MVP to his already impressive trophy collection, it’s fitting that this biography would arrive on shelves shortly afterwards.  As I recently finished the book, I want to provide a review for individuals on the fence about purchasing it.  With that in mind, I intend to keep this review as high level as possible. As the dust settles from the free agency frenzy, one highly conspicuous free agent remains unsigned, Thanasis Antetokounmpo.  Since joining his superstar younger brother in 2019, Thanasis quickly became a fan favorite among the Milwaukee faithful.  Despite this, the rumor mill is deathly silent about where he stands in free agency.  The fact that Thanasis has not re-signed with the Bucks (or joined another team) raises several questions about his future. After years of falling short, the Milwaukee Bucks are NBA Champions.  With this championship came significant praise for the Bucks, especially for superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo.  The Bucks won their championship “the right way” by not forming a super team.  Optimistic fans appear to believe that more superstars will follow Giannis’ example, saving the NBA from its problem with parity.  While Giannis deserves all the credit in the world for what he accomplished this season, he cannot “save” the NBA.  This has nothing to do with Giannis and everything to do with the rest of the League.
